Gregory Kyaw-Nyein – CEO

Born in Myanmar, Greg grew up in Australia. He started his oil and gas career in Offshore Drilling operations in the Bass Strait before embarking on a varied career spanning 22 years in the Hydrocarbon and Mining Industries. For the past 15 years Greg has worked in the Asian oilfield services industry for Schlumberger Malaysia and Weatherford Thailand / Myanmar in Sales & Marketing Roles. Greg holds a BSc – Geophysics, Grad Dip of Marketing & Post Graduate Studies in Law.
 
 
 
Bob Hill – Director
Bob has over 30 years as a well engineering professional. Bob has spent the last 10 years in Drilling and Well Engineering Manager roles, mostly in the Asia Pacific region. He takes an active role in staff development and competence training. Bob trained as a Mechanical Engineer and spent his first 20 years in the Oil & Gas industry working for Shell. He has worked in Europe, the Middle East, West Africa, China, Thailand, Indonesia and Singapore in senior positions in training & development, contracting and technical support. Bob has co-authored a number of Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) papers and is co-creator of a patented wellhead sealing system for dual tubing hangers.

U Kyaw Nyein – Chairman
U Kyaw Nyein started his career as a Geologist with the Burmah Oil Company (BOC) in Myanmar in the 1950’s and was instrumental in the discovery of three onshore fields. During his 50 year career in the petroleum industry, U Kyaw Nyein worked for Woodside Petroleum as the lead Geologist for the iconic North Rankin project. He has also worked for the Getty Oil, Asamera, BP in a variety of roles. He worked for Conoco Indonesia as Drilling Contracts Specialist and acted as the focal point in all communications with Pertamina. Now in Semi retirement, he is lending his support to Tin Htay as Chairman. He holds a BSc Geology from Rangoon University and a MSc in Mining Engineering and Geology at the University of Queensland, Australia.

Peter Marszal – Director
Peter’s career originally began in Mining in Victoria, Australia. After completion of his engineering degree, he began a 30 year career in the oil and gas industry that spans Australia’s Woodside Petroleum, Shell UK & Malaysia and currently Mubadala Petroleum. Peter has worked most recently as an independent technical consultant. Peter brings to Tin Htay a wealth of international technical and management experience. He is a Specialist in Production Technology, Peter’s areas of expertise include, drilling, production engineering, well completion design and artificial lift.

Rajindar Singh – Advisor to Management
Rajindar’s career has spanned more than 30 years in the oil and gas industry. An electrical engineer by profession, Rajindar originally joined Schlumberger as a wireline engineer and moved up into a senior management position. He was the Country Manager for Schlumberger’s Myanmar operations between 1991 and 1993 and was instrumental in developing the Mann Field Base in Central Myanmar. Now a consultant in carbon capture and research, Rajindar brings a wealth of experience to the Tin Htay team.
